Peabody McGillicutty

Welcome to my spot on the world-wide-web!

I figured it was about time I had a site of my own. For a crochety old man I have plenty to say and the web seems like a good place to say it.

Who I am?

Well, that is right hard to say. I am a little bit of a whole lotta things and a whole lotta nothing.

I am a husband and father and soon to be a grandfather.

I am a self-employed consultant. That means people pay me to answer their questions and figure things out for them.

I am not a programmer although I have I programmed in many languages. I like tinkering with and learning new languages. I know what I know and what I don"t I can learn. I am not a web designer although I can put a few pages together and make them work well.

I am not a writer. I can spell most things right and I know a noun from a verb. I have read a number of books. Some were good - some were hog-wash.

I am not an educator. Learning should come from within and not be poured into your head or spoon-fed to babies. Neither am I a student. I refuse to sit in a class and be talked down to by some professor who thinks he knows it all. I"d rather learn on my own by trial and error and find resouces that provide me answers without fluff.
